LO1: P2: Describe the Focus of a Chosen Radio Station
Introduction In this report I will be discussing the focus of my chosen radio station Capital FM. I will do this by looking at their different radio programmes such as Capital Breakfast and the Top 40. Their ownership Model Capital FM is owned by Global Media & Entertainment. Capital FM is a National Commercial radio. This means that it contains advertisements and endorsements. These stations create profit for the company from the advertisements and endorsements. This allows them to have things such as competitions for concert tickets and large sums of money. Local or National Capital is a National radio. This means that it is available nation wide. Local radios are broadcasted to and therefore aimed towards a smaller geographical area. They do this by giving news and traffic information about that specific location rather than news in other places like national stations like Capital do.
